Today's Price Action
Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MARUTI) is trading flat at ₹12,694, with the price unchanged on the day. The session volume of 3,22,649 shares matches the 20‑day average, indicating that current participation is typical for the stock and that there is no immediate surge in buying or selling pressure.
Valuation Snapshot
The stock’s trailing P/E stands at 29.3, considerably higher than the sector’s implicit P/E of 0, suggesting that MARUTI trades at a premium relative to the broader automobile and auto‑components peer group. A return on equity of 14.3% reflects a moderate efficiency in generating profit from shareholders’ capital.
Key Levels to Watch
The current price sits just above the 52‑week low of ₹12,201, leaving limited downside margin before the lower boundary of the annual range is reached. On the bullish side, the 52‑week high of ₹17,372 remains a distant resistance point; interim resistance is likely to form around the nearest round figure of ₹13,500, where open‑interest historically accumulated.
Chart Pattern
In the last ten trading days, the daily chart displayed a bullish engulfing candle five days ago followed by a bearish marubozu and a bearish engulfing candle ten days ago. These formations suggest a recent shift in short‑term momentum, with the bullish engulfing indicating a temporary reversal of prior down‑trend pressure, while the subsequent bearish candles reflect renewed selling pressure.
Data Summary
MARUTI’s market capitalization is listed as ₹0 Cr, reflecting a data placeholder rather than an actual valuation figure. The stock’s P/B ratio of 0 further underscores the need for caution in interpreting the balance‑sheet‑related multiples, as the metric appears atypical for the company.
